The Collider is a global center for climate entrepreneurship and innovation. We accelerate the market for their products and services by growing the ecosystem of mission-aligned businesses, investors, academic institutions, and government agencies. We inspire and cultivate young leaders and emerging talent and equip them as future builders with the skills, knowledge, and perspectives to lead our civilization’s response to climate change.

We are preparing to launch and scale several new initiatives to expand global awareness of The Collider’s brand and mission, enhance the value of our memberships, and attract new members, partners, and stakeholders. We are seeking a highly energetic marketing manager to spearhead new initiatives and drive our strategy forward.

The right candidate will combine experience and expertise in digital marketing, content creation, customer acquisition, audience building and public relations.

Roles and Responsibilities
Launch the industry’s go-to email newsletter for digital and data climate startups across the globe. You will be charged with creating, curating, and editing newsletter copy. You will also lead marketing efforts to drive month-over-month audience growth.

Drive audience growth for a new podcast similarly focused on the emerging landscape of digital and data climate startups in resilience and adaptation.

Develop and oversee marketing campaigns for our cadence of industry-focused events including The Business of Climate Forum and the Summit for Emerging Climate Leaders.

Measure and optimize marketing channels and tactics to accelerate attendance numbers.

Craft press pitches and releases, build media lists, and own overall press and media strategy.

Develop and launch a marketing strategy for our forthcoming startup bootcamps. Identify customer acquisition channels. Routinely evaluate marketing tactics to maximize lead flow, LTV, and retention.

Oversee SEO and Google AdWords.

Qualifications Include:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline
3 – 5 years of experience in digital marketing, customer acquisition, and content development

Startup experience is strongly preferred
Proven ability to garner national media coverage

Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking

Knowledge of web analytics tools such as Google Analytics

Exceptional writer/editor. Ability to rapidly publish while staying on brand and owning and cultivating our brand voice

Experience developing and executing traditional and digital marketing campaigns from inception to evaluation

You’ve contributed to and/or authored a blog
Working knowledge of AdWords, and familiarity with paid search, paid display and paid social

Experience with visual and graphic design tools such as the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and Canva is a plus

Experience developing social media strategies and programs across platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
