The Lake County YMCA is seeking a Member Experience Specialist. This is a full-time, exempt position. Interested parties should submit a cover letter and resume outlining qualifications (see below) by Friday, September 1.

Directs membership experience for the branch including recruitment and retention of members. Develops, plans and implements new procedures and methods to achieve membership retention, member engagement, and satisfaction goals.
Drives membership recruitment, engagement & retention process for the branch.
Conducts interviews and tours for prospective members.
Implement and manage new member on-boarding programs.
Maintains understanding of current branch programs. Connects member's interests to healthy living orientations and available programs.
Administer member engagement challenges, activities and events.
Coordinates member appreciation events.
Provides recognition and celebration of member anniversaries.
Processes all membership holds and terminations. Perform exit surveys.
Increases member connection and commitment by ensuring the member experience is consistent, integrated and aligned to YMCA goals.
Works with program directors to train, develop and direct personnel and volunteers as needed.
Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
Promotes program enrollment and connections with existing and potential members.
Leverages marketing resources to drive community, web and social media communications and engagement.Collaborates with member engagement director to organize membership events both inside and outside the YMCA.
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three or more years of sales and/or customer service experience required.
Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all segments of the community.
Proficient in all standard business software.
Excellent Oral and written communication skills
Bilingual (Spanish- English) preferred.
Must be able to communicate clearly.
Frequent physical activity including sitting, standing, and walking.
Occasionally needs to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
